BIOGRAPHY

Patrice Moret is a Swiss double bass player and electric bassist. He is active in the national and international jazz and improvisational music scene as a composer, arranger and musician.
Over the course of his career, Moret has worked with numerous renowned musicians,
including Benoît Delbecq, Florian Weber, Ben Monder, Jojo Mayer, Uri Caine, Elina Duni,
Gerald Cleaver, Ben Perowski, Lionel Loueke, Malia, Grégoire Maret, James Maddren, Lisette Spinnler, Matthieu Michel, Otis Sandsjö, Hans Koch, Erik Truffaz, Christophe Calpini and many others. With nine albums recorded for the renowned ECM label, Moret has made a name for himself on the contemporary jazz scene. Moret composes music for the projects Néon, JØØN, ØIHY and El. Moret has been a professor at the Bern University of the Arts since 2006. He teaches double bass and leads various workshops.
Moret is currently active with the following projects: Colin Vallon Trio, Matthieu Bordenave Quartet, Nicolas Masson’s Parallel, ØIHY, Marc Méan Trio, Elina Duni Quartet, JØØN and El.
